Reading your article was the first time I came across this case even though I lived in a neighboring county (Cherokee county, GA) from 2016 to 2020. While I was aware of the area's racist reputation - Forsyth County was a no-go place for me - what's particularly chilling is the fact that this could happen when so many people knew where Tamla was (invitations were sent online). It is also disturbing that to date this has not become a national story.
